They are extremely versatile, and perfectly suited to dishes like stir fries and curries as they retain their shape well. Banana prawns are a good source of protein, Omega 3, Phosphorous and Selenium and are naturally low in fat.

THE FISHERY

Ocean Pearl Wild Caught Banana Prawns are sourced from the Northern Prawn Fishery (NPF), Australia’s largest and the first tropical prawn fishery in the world to be MSC certified sustainable.

The NPF is located off Australia’s northern coast, the fishery extends from the low water mark to the outer edge of the Australian Fishing Zone.

Ocean Pearl Banana Prawns are mainly caught during the months of April to June each year.
